Peppers?

What kind of peppers are these, and will they hurt if I eat them? And, what shall I do with them all?

  1. The light green/yellow ones are Gypsy peppers, I think, and they are very sweet--almost smell like roses. Those other ones that look like orange gypsies are probably sweet also. The smaller, croockeder(?) red ones are probably hot, though.

You can slice and eat the sweet ones, they are very good that way. Or, if you have also tomatoes and eggplant and zucchini, you can make Ratatouille. With the hot ones, I don't know. Depends on how hot they are. Make some salsa?

  2. Trey them out on shorter half first. He does somewhat resemble a canary in a coal mine.

  3. Quite a variety there. Generally, even hot peppers aren't too hot (YMMV) if, before chopping, you slice in half and discard the seeds, and also trim out ribs & discard. Wear gloves when doing, don't touch face, and, if SD is present, wait until she isn't... ;-)

  4. Depends on what you consider hot. Some consider Tabasco Sauce hot but to me it is spicy ketchup.

  5. To clarify: I am a spice wimp. I do not use any additional sauce when visiting a Taco Bell, and I find the envelopes of taco seasoning plenty zesty. I can't touch Tabasco. I blame my maternal grandmother with the Norweigan/upper midwest background. *grin*
